Unfortunately we were unable to make it to Laos.
To make a very long story short, due to circumstances in the control of others, we missed our connecting flight in Kathmandu. Pretty "laosy". Maybe on another trip?
Next stop Siem Reap, Cambodia.
For those of you whom are following our posted itinerary closely you will have also noticed Bangkok, Thailand listed between Bhutan and Laos. Our time in Bangkok was planned to be similar to that in Mumbai. We did stop and spend the night there, but all we saw was the airport (the hotel is attached to the airport). In fact, we will be transiting through Bangkok airport as a hub on each of our flights to Cambodia, Myanmar and Manila. Fortunately we toured Bangkok more thoroughly on a previous trip here a few years ago.
